Choose the shop for your first lift
In Sölden, organise your first ski day around the lift you intend to use. Sport Brugger's Giggijochbahn branch is at Dorfstraße 42, directly at that access point. Sportlife Zentrum is at Dorfstraße 98, by the Zentrumshuttle. These collection points are not interchangeable: if you want to start at Giggijoch, avoid accidentally selecting the central shop. Check the branch name on your confirmation against your accommodation and ski-school meeting point. Storage at the appropriate lift can reduce the distance you carry equipment in ski boots, particularly during a longer stay. Before booking, ask about available space, access arrangements and charges.
Opening hours and collection
The official resort directory lists daily opening from 8 am to 6 pm for the Giggijoch branch between 12 November 2026 and 18 April 2027. For Sportlife Zentrum, it lists 8 am to 6:30 pm daily between 30 November 2026 and 25 April 2027. Different or restricted hours apply outside those periods. An early autumn glacier skiing trip is therefore no reason to assume the winter timetable applies. Allow enough time between the shop opening and your lesson for boot fitting, binding adjustment and reaching the lift. If you arrive the previous day, check directly with your chosen branch whether advance collection is possible.
Compare the complete rental price
The Brugger list checked on 24 October 2026 gives adult sets at €40–71 per day, from Economy to First Class. For six or seven days, the listed range is €210–387. These are regular set prices; separately displayed online discounts are not included here. The page does not clearly identify a tariff season. Confirm the total for your travel dates and check whether a helmet, storage and optional services are included. For a single practice day, a cheaper model suited to your ability can make more sense than the highest category. For a week, compare the weekly amount instead of simply multiplying a daily rate.
Children, public transport and parking
Families should first establish exactly where their booked lesson starts. Staying near a lift does not automatically mean a short walk to children's lessons. Provide age, height and boot size when reserving, and try boots with the socks you intend to wear. Leave time to spot and resolve fitting problems before the lesson begins. Rail arrivals travel via Ötztal Bahnhof, followed by a scheduled bus or taxi into the valley. Check the current timetable through to your accommodation's stop. Paid parking is available at Giggijoch and Gaislachkogl. Sölden lists €7 for daytime parking from 8 am to 8 pm, checked on 24 October 2026. Follow the rules for the actual car park, especially if returning equipment late. Equipment storage does not replace a parking space or cover its charge.
