Do not confuse valley facilities with mountain rental
At Stubai Glacier, a reservation should explicitly identify the collection point. INTERSPORT Okay rents equipment at the Eisgrat and Gamsgarten mountain stations; the Comfort Centers below provide storage and service reception among other facilities. The shared place name Mutterberg does not distinguish between them. The Gamsgarten shop is listed at Mutterberg 2, 6167 Neustift im Stubaital. As a valley alternative, INTERSPORT Martin lists Franz-Senn-Straße 88 in Milders. Decide whether you want to be fully equipped before ascending or choose boots and skis after the cable-car ride.
Hours for the correct station
The operator of the INTERSPORT Okay Gamsgarten shop publishes daily hours of 08:30–16:15, checked on 24 October 2026. These are shop hours, not a guarantee of daily cable-car operation. Before travelling, confirm opening and collection availability for your booking. Mountain collection requires time for the ascent between arrival in Mutterberg and the start of lessons. Returns should also take place before your last required ride down. If you need to catch a bus afterwards, allow extra time rather than postponing the return until just before the shop closes.
Daily rates and included equipment
The official price list, which is not explicitly assigned to a season, lists Economy skis at €27 and adult boots at €18 per day, totalling €45. Premium skis with boots total €57; Superior skis with boots total €68. Checked on 24 October 2026. These are calculated ski-and-boot combinations; other equipment needs separate clarification. Poles and helmets, in particular, also appear as individual tariff items. Basic children’s skis and boots normally total €22.50. Request a complete quote before comparing these amounts with another operator’s inclusive package.
Families and mountain storage
The operator describes free Economy rental for children up to ten when both parents rent. Confirm the age boundary, suitable equipment and booking conditions for your family; the regular child price and a conditional promotion are different offers. On the first lesson morning, it also matters whether the meeting point is at Eisgrat or Gamsgarten. Mountain storage can save carrying equipment, but the next collection depends on being able to reach it. Consider whether you plan to use the same access point the following day and where normal shoes and extra clothing will remain.
Driving, parking and buses
Drive via the A13 to Schönberg, continue on the B183 through the Stubai Valley and proceed from Ranalt to Mutterberg. The glacier operator lists free parking at the Eisgrat and Gamsgarten valley stations. For public transport, Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof is the starting point for bus connections into the valley. Free ski-bus use within the valley is subject to published conditions; additional rules apply to the section from Innsbruck. Check ticket validity and the specific service. Parking at the other valley station can change the journey to your booked collection point. For mountain collection, save the mountain station name as well as the shop address. Searching for Mutterberg in your navigation app initially identifies the arrival area, not where your equipment is waiting. Keep the reservation receipt available on your phone and agree the order of ticket purchase, ascent and fitting with your companions. This sequence is especially useful with several children.
